It has been a busy 2018 so far for Enebak Construction and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. Despite the prolonged winter, ECC crews are back to work, working across the metro area including projects in Lakeville, Woodbury, Plymouth, and Blaine. A few jobs that ECC is working on this season are:
HIGHCROFT | Woodbury, MN – Tradition Development
We just finished grading on Tradition’s Highcroft development in Woodbury. The utility crews are now installing sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer throughout the site. Some of the sewer on the site is more than 30 feet deep, which requires more preparation and equipment. The grading crew is helping the sewer crew increase productivity by sub-cutting and hauling material to backfill pipe that
has already been installed.
GLEN VIEW FARM | Woodbury, MN – The Excelsior Group
Construction has started on the Glen View Farm development. This project is adjacent to the north of Tradition’s Highcroft project. This project includes 250,000 cubic yards of grading, as well as installing sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer.
SPIRIT OF BRANDTJEN FARM | Lakeville, MN – SBF Development
There are plans for utilities and streets to be installed in the 19th and 20th Additions of Spirit of Brandtjen Farm later this summer. The 19th Addition will include 44 single family lots and will be constructed and ready to build on. The 20th Addition will include 62 single family lots that will be developed.
LEGACY AT NORTHSTAR| Lake Elmo, MN – GWSA Development
ECC will be starting construction on the new Legacy at Northstar development. This 100 acre site in Lake Elmo will be built into 269 single family lots and includes nearly a half million cubic yards of excavation.
While the winter was dragging on, some ECC staff, including office personnel, foremen, and mechanics, snuck away for a weekend at the Tradition Lodge for some ice fishing. It was a nice getaway that ended with a fish fry before heading back to work.
In May, a story was mentioned in the local news that involved ECC. Two ECC employees alertly noticed a 5 year old child that had fallen into a pool at a nearby apartment complex. They jumped the fence to the pool area, pulling the young boy from the pool and administered CPR. The boy was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. The condition of the boy is still unknown.Learn More
Tradition Capital Bank is excited to announce that our Loan and Deposit Production Office in North Oaks opened as a full service banking location in May.
The new location increases our focus on the north and east markets in an area where private banking was previously unavailable. Our presence in North Oaks offers a convenient location (right off Highway 96 and Village Center Drive) to many of our existing clients.
With our two bank locations, we are now within 30 minutes of anyone in the Twin Cities. Our goal for the bank is not only to expand our area of service, but also to be a community destination point for residents and business people of the area. Our way of doing business will extend to North Oaks as we aim to be a solution for individuals and businesses who want more from their bank. We will continue to deliver on our vision, objective, and goal as we are guided by five core values – do the right thing, work hard, one team, give back, and have fun.
Tradition Development recently purchased a new parcel of land in Woodbury, MN that is being developed into a new home community, Highcroft of Woodbury. Highcroft is located adjacent to our Twenty-One Oaks neighborhood, and is scheduled to officially open in Fall 2018 in conjunction with the Parade of Homes℠.
Highcroft is situated just East of Bailey Lake on 89 acres of land that are platted to be 159 new home lots with a combination of park, lake, and wooded views. Highcroft will offer a variety of floor plan options from three exclusive home builders. Locally owned and operated, these builders know the area and have put together a variety of home options that include both single family homes and villas. The builders include Robert Thomas Homes, Gonyea Homes and Remodeling, and Stonegate Builders.
Just south of the river, is another new Tradition development called Reverence. Reverence features 23 of the Twin Cities’ most premier acreage lots ranging from 2.50-5.88 acres in size. These lots opened up last year exclusive to our custom home builder, Homes by Tradition. Reverence’s acreage lots are developed to promote luxury living with a $1M+ home package, association maintained common areas, and individual well and septic. MID-YEAR FINANCIAL CHECK-UP
On these summer days, you are probably thinking about what lake or beach to go to, spending time on your favorite golf courses, or planning a road trip with your family. Although life may be slower and less cluttered, summer is a great time to sit down and do a mid-year financial check-up.
On December 22, 2017, President Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, a sweeping $1.5 trillion tax-cut package that fundamentally changes the individual and business tax landscape. Now may be a good time to see how the new tax laws will impact your 2018 tax return.
Small increases to your 401K and/or IRA accounts make a big difference over time. Make it a goal to increase your savings each year.
Thinking about a will, health care directive or power of attorney can be an uncomfortable topic. If you don’t have these key documents, take the time to set them up. If you already have these set up, take time to review the details, as well as your beneficiary elections.
It is wise to evaluate your insurance needs annually to make sure you have the right amount and type of insurance.

Our 2018 season is in full swing with our golf course, restaurant and busy events calendar. With the relentless winter sticking around until mid-April, the Legends Club staff was hard at work during the off season developing new menu items, 2018 golf and event calendars, and planning multiple course renovations.
LIVE MUSIC | ENTERTAINMENT
We have a fun and festive outdoor live music event schedule this year to add entertainment options highlighting our terrific outdoor areas. We are focusing our efforts on bringing in quality music acts on a monthly basis, paired with interesting menu options to deliver a unique experience that will cater to everyone.
Legends Club is the course of choice for multiple major corporate events. Best Buy Corporate brought their partners/vendors out for a two-day tournament that we co-hosted with Hazeltine Golf Club to raise money for the Best Buy children’s foundation. We also hosted the United Heroes League (UHL) Camo Classic, which is a full military takeover of our course with RPGs, smokescreens, snipers and more! All proceeds go directly to UHL to keep military kids healthy and active through sports while their parents are serving our nation. Another great event we hosted was the National Kidney Foundation’s public charity tournament that sends top teams to play in the National Finals in Pebble Beach, CA against other national qualifying teams.
Our grounds crew worked hard to create a fresh aesthetic and functional updates to various areas of the golf course. Our newly renovated 4th hole features fewer trees and a safer cart path, as well as modifications to the hazard on hole #2. You’ll also see new championship tees on holes #2, #14 and #15.
Esquire Title is thrilled to announce the opening of a new branch in Aitkin, MN. Opening August 2018, this new branch will reach a whole new clientele in the northern Minnesota market. We are excited to be branching outside of the Twin Cities metro area and further build our brand within Minnesota. Thus far in 2018, approximately 70% of the loans we’ve closed have come directly from our Tradition network (specifically Tradition Mortgage, Tradition Capital Bank and Tradition Construction Capital).
As we head into the second half of 2018, we look forward to continuing to provide consistent, exceptional, efficient, and accurate title services across the state of Minnesota.Learn More
GIVING BACK | Tradition Pass It On
Our Tradition Pass It On initiative has gained traction in the Edina community in 2018 and kept us busy. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of amazing local events and organizations.
We kicked off the new year with Quinn’s Cup 5th Annual Pond Hockey Tournament. This event honors and celebrates a young boy named Quinn who suffered from Myocarditis. Quinn’s Cup has raised over $95,000 for the Myocarditis Foundation!
In February, we sponsored the Hendrickson Foundation National Hockey Festival. This foundation makes sure that no hockey player has a barrier between them and the sport they love while facing disabilities or challenges.
Firefighters for Healing
Our spotlight in March recognized Firefighters for Healing. Their mission is to provide support to children, burn victims and survivors in victims and survivors in ways that insurance companies can’t. Their vision for 2020 is to build a state-of-the-art Transitional Care Facility for patients, their families and firefighters to call a temporary home. JOIN US for their Red Tie Gala fundraiser on October 13, 2018.
United Heroes League
In July, we are excited to honor The United Heroes League with a Military Appreciation Night at Braemar Arena in Edina during Da Beauty League. The United Heroes League empowers military families to stay healthy and active by battling the financial burden associated with sports.
Edina Community Foundation
We are proud and looking forward to our continued partnership with the Edina Community Foundation. Incorporated in 1977, the foundation has been creating programs to serve, strengthen, and celebrate the Edina community.
Art of Edina
Exciting news for our Art of Edina initiative on being voted “2018 Editor’s Pick: Best Creative Idea” in Edina Magazine. We currently have two galleries on display. Southdale Center showcases 30 pieces of artwork by students from Creek Valley and Highlands Elementary schools. The second gallery is displayed at Braemar Arena. Themed “Enjoy Your Parks,” the gallery is filled with beautiful work from local artists. These galleries will be on display all summer.
GIVING BACK | HopeKids MN
Tradition Companies hosted our 10th Annual HopeK 5K/10K + Kids Fun Run benefitting HopeKids Minnesota on Saturday, June 9th in our Spirit of Brandtjen Farm neighborhood in Lakeville.
We surpassed our goal for this year’s event and raised over $82,000 for HopeKids Minnesota. Since we started the event, we’ve raised over one million dollars to benefit the organization, allowing HopeKids to serve more than 1,100 Minnesota families.
